48south7th is a video program of the San Jose Peace & Justice Center and its community partner organizations, aiming to inform and educate the community on issues relating to peace and justice. Half-hour shows are broadcast weekly on CreaTV San Jose community channel 15. Segments are also available to watch on-demand on the 48south7th YouTube channel.
With detailed analysis and discussion, each show focuses on a topic ranging from current critical issues to those of historical interest. Since launching in June 2010, the series has produced/aired eight shows.
Volunteers Joan Bazar, Phil Pflager, Peggy Elwell, Anne Pflager, Geraldine Conley, Charlotte Casey, Kevin Pardo, Stephanie Brown, Robin Ash and Sharat Lin were involved in producing, directing, filming, researching, editing and promoting the shows. Interviewers in 2010 were Aiesha Parker-Hicks, Michael Hejazi and Julia Duperrault.
